Hi, I’m Dan Krall, a Los Angeles based Author, Illustrator and Animator. I’ve published 8 picture books and am currently working on my debut graphic novel series coming in 2027. I’ve had influential roles developing and producing animated hits like Coraline, Samurai Jack, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, Chowder, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, PowerPuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory and many more.

I love travel, other cultures, hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, snorkeling, kelp forests, folklore, mythology, the supernatural, superstitions, 70’s horror movies, giant spiders, history, maritime history, scrimshaw, natural history museums, things preserved in formaldehyde, open air museums and their gift shops, the smell of really old wood churches, gothic horror novels, costume dramas, harpsichord music, medieval stuff, food, cooking, historical cooking, old timey banjo and fiddle music, ancient Rome, vikings, Goths, people that dress up for ComicCon and the Renaissance Faire, astronomy, space travel, sci-fi, apocalyptic fiction, any kind of weird obscure fact I can get my hands on…

…and crafting them into stories for kids.
